Reference 159 metal-seated gate valve Our reference 159 is a short-pattern metal-seated gate valve according to EN 558 series 14 (DIN 3202 F4). It is provided with RF PN16 flanges connections and comes in DN40 to DN300 sizes. This full-bore valve is fitted with a single solid wedge, a graphite packing, a rising stem, and a non-rising handwheel allowing visual control of the opening and closing of the valve. The body and gate are made of EN GJS 500-7 ductile iron (GGG50) and the stem and seats are made of stainless steel. The construction in ductile iron confers higher strength and ductility compared to grey cast iron thanks to the nodular shape of the graphite. Therefore, it shows greater resistance to impacts. Moreover, it offers a lower thermal conductivity regarding GG25 construction. The stainless-steel inner parts of the 159 gate valve give a wider temperature tolerance ranging from -10 °C to +180°C. Rated for a maximum allowable pressure of 16 bar, our gate valve is suitable for water supply and water treatment systems, as well as for heating installations. According to the EN 12266-1 pressure test standard, this gate valve is a rate B, which means there is no absolute tightness, especially at low pressure.
